Outline of Final Research Achievements

Suicides and isolated deaths are a serious problem among low-income elderly males in large urban areas. These subjects do not need mental and physical care; instead they require consultation, advice, and support so as to enable them to perform such tasks as managing their money and medicines, and so on. Thereby they will live in the community with a healthy independent life. A caregiver who is able to meet these requirements is needed to increase these subjects’ will to live.
