Research Abstract

平成23、24年度に行った研究活動を継続して実施するとともに、研究成果報告書の作成作業を進めた。
具体的にはH.Silver, 'External Examiner in Higher Education: A Secret History' in Aldrich, R.(ed.), In History ahd Education: Essays presented to Peter Gordon, London, 1996や, S.Rothblatt, 'Historical and Comparative Remarks on the "Federal Principle" in Higher Education ' in Rothblatt, S, The Modern University and its Discontents: The Fate of Newman's legacies in Britain and America, Cambridge, 1997.等の主要文献および基本史料を基に、イギリスの学外試験委員制度の歴史について、さまざまな観点から考察を行い、その成果を全10章からなる報告書にとりまとめて刊行した。
その際、本歴史研究を現代における高等教育の質保障という枠組みに位置づけるため、大学評価・学位授与機構や文部科学省を訪問して、専門家と知見の交流をはかった。
