Research Abstract |
This study was carried out to develop a metal-free immortal polymerization of epoxide and to synthesize various kinds of functional polymers as its applications. Specific conclusions are as follows; 1) The metal-free immortal polymerization of epoxide was successfully developed by using commercially available tetra-n-butylammonium fluoride as an initiator. 2) Various kinds of functional polymers such as amphiphilic block copolymers, end-functional polymers, and branched polymers were facilely synthesized by this metal-free immortal polymerization.
