光導波路分光・水晶振動子複合法によるナノ構造物性その場評価とデバイス高機能化

Research Abstract

本研究では、水晶振動子微量天秤(QCM)法と光導波路分光法または表面プラズモン共鳴(SPR)法の複合センサの測定系を構築するとともに、主に有機機能性薄膜の堆積過程のその場評価を試みた。
まず、真空蒸着装置に光ファイバを導入することによりQCM・導波路分光法複合センサ測定系を用いて、有機材料の真空蒸着薄膜堆積過程において膜厚と光吸収特性の関係を詳細に調べた。材料には、有機太陽電池に有望で種々の会合体を形成する鉛フタロシアニンを用いた。実験結果から、光導波路分光法によって単分子膜以下の膜厚で光吸収特性が測定できることが明らかとなり、単分子膜程度の厚さでは分子は単量体の状態で堆積されていることがわかった。膜厚が増大すると会合体の形成が顕著となり、特に蒸着レートが小さい場合にはJ会合体が優先的に形成された。同時にH会合体の形成も観測されており、偏光依存性からH会合体は基板法線方向への配向が考えられた。さらに、光導波路分光法で光特性が線形性を有する膜厚範囲を明確にした他、鉛フタロシアニン薄膜中における導波モードによると思われる新規な光吸収ピークについて膜厚依存性を調べた。この内容について国際学会で発表を行ったほか、Jpn.J.Appl.Phys.に投稿し受理された。さらに、トランジスタ材料であるペンタセンについても検討を始めており、蒸着レートと結晶形成の関係について調べている。さらに、QCM・SPRの同時測定装置や蒸着過程において電気特性をその場測定するための測定系も構築し、膜厚と光特性、伝導機構の関係を調べた。
また本研究の複合センサによって、大気中における液晶分子蒸着膜や有機色素スプレー薄膜、水溶液中における電解質色素分子の交互吸着膜の堆積過程のその場評価も行った。さらに、溶液系においては電解質交互吸着薄膜構造のpH依存性を調べた他、電気泳動に基づく分子吸着の様子も評価した。
