Research Abstract |
With the aim to develop a solvent-less painting technique using a low molecular weight polymers with supercritical carbon dioxide, we have developed a viscosity prediction method of low molecular weight polymer + CO2 system, which is the key parameter to painting technique in this study. As a result, the solubility of CO2 in the low molecular weight polymer and the temperature dependence of the viscosity at the atmospheric pressure of the low molecular weight polymer is obtained, the viscosity of CO2 + low molecular weight polymer at high pressure can be predicted by using the free volume theory.
