Research Abstract |
Bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome is a devastating complication of allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation. A novel method for early diagnosis before it reaches an irreversible stage is required. We performed cytokine/chemokine analysis using serum, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, and exhaled breath condensate of our patients. As a result, serum MIP-1 alpha, MIP-1 beta, TNF-alpha were selected as candidates of possible biomarkers for early diagnosis.
