Research Abstract |
We successfully created a congenital heart disease model by low oxygen load and ventricular volume overload due to arteriovenous shunting created in rats. the extent of post-ischemic reperfusion injury of the heart was compared to a control model. Analysis of myocardial membrane fatty acids components were used nano-electrospray mass spectrometry and gas chromatography mass spectrometer. The n-3 poly-unsuturated fatty acids (PUFA) were increased and n-6 PUFA were reduced in congenital heart disease model by hypoxia load. C20:4 did not change but configuration of membrane lipids has changed from C18:2 to C22:6.
