Research Abstract |
As a result of quantitatively analyzing the perceived burden of 5 foster parents who experienced the significant loss of being separated from their foster child, it is shown that the foster parents experience a series of [grieving processes], namely, [despair with respect to the foster care system], which underlies [experiencing intense emotions due to separation from the foster child], [continuous doubt from experiencing loss due to self-insight accompanied by pain], [acceptance of the experience of loss due to self-insight accompanied by pain], and [desire for human connection with the aim of recovery of a zest for life], and that within the triplex structure of the sociocultural dynamics that treat foster families, which are assumed to be small groups with a high risk of causing functional incompetence, foster care systems, which are assumed to cause functional incompetence, and foster parents as a minority group, they are considered to be minority individuals.
