Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to construct a historical-change-pattern-models of Japanese expressions that can account for various change phenomena of Japanese expressions, using four tentative models; cumulative model, diminish model, coexistence model and agreement model, through looking at an applicability of them to illustrations from novels. As the result, it remains unclear whether these models are plausible since scrutinies are not sufficient yet. But these models could be applicable highly to various changes of Japanese expressions.
