Research Abstract |
The purpose of this research is to develop a method of analyzing the function of questioning in social studies lesson, based on theories of contrastive explanation model and abduction. We consider the basic functions of questioning in social studies is to lead to doubt and to produce tentative interpretations about societies. The method here means how to analyze against the background of what kind of contrastive relation questioning was performed and to measure what kind of tentative interpretations questioning has produced. This research supposes that the practice which can be estimated comparatively highly that elementary school and junior high school teachers made the students think enough in social studies lesson is that having produced various tentative interpretations by questioning.
