Research Abstract |
Cathode active materials of lithium ion secondary batteries in practical use, LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2 (LNCA)LiFePO4 (LFPO) were investigated using scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) and electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS). We have clarified a dopant effect on suppression of degradation associated with many cycling at elevated temperatures and the origin of characteristic hysteresis in the charge -discharge process.
