Research Abstract |
LAIDS study(BMJ2009)demonstrated that cerebral white matter disease in subcorticl lesion relates cognitive function, depression, falling down, and/or swallowing disorder. However, such prospectibve studies are rare in Japan. In the present study, we performed a prospective observational study for three years concnerning clinical symptoms, MRI and cardiac function of the elderly in group home and compared these observations to those of age-matched control patients who visit out-patient clinic of cardiology or neurosurgery in a city hospital.
