Research Abstract |
Interaction with oral predominant bacteria plays an important role in colonization of periodontopathic bacteria. Culture supernatant of Streptococcus oralis repressed growth of Porphyromonas gingivalis. S. oralisglyceraldehydes-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH), which binds P. gingivalisfimbriae, affected expression of P. gingivalis gene related to biofilm formation.
