| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, traditional operational profiles (models that represent the expected behavior of software under test and its usage characteristics in operational environments) have been extended to include information about fault-proneness and testing effort, and to introduce modeling techniques effective for representing the expected behavior of large and concurrent software. Also, new techniques to generate effective test cases (items to be tested) based on the extended operational profiles have been constructed by introducing optimization techniques.
