Research Abstract |
METH-conditioning significantly increased the protein levels ofADF, synaptophysin and PSD95 including the enhancement of actin turnover. In addition, increased acetylation of histone H3 was found in specific gene-promoter regions relatedto synaptic plasticity, such as synaptophysin and PSD95 showing METH-induced placepreference. These findings indicate that interaction between calcium dynamics and actinskeleton are important to the methamphetamine-induced rewarding effects.
