This study project examined promotional factor of social adjustment in narcissistic adolescents. Correlation analysis clarified that narcissists tend to underestimate accomplishment of collaboration, and put value on individual work. However, analysis of their "personality orientation" ,indicating discrepancy between two types of narcissist ("grandiose narcissist" and "hypersensitive narcissist"), hypersensitive narcissists feel uneasy in social context because of their fear of negative evaluation. Despite both narcissistic type have been pointed out about their social maladaptiveness, hypersensitive type was thought to be more unhealthy from the view of psychological wellness. Studies on interventional treatment in class and experimental settings indicated that cognition and behavior of hypersensitive narcissists could be changed by some kind of skill training (eg. assertion training) or instruction about evaluation.
