Research Abstract

すばる望遠鏡用近赤外線カメラ(HiCIAO)を用い、原始惑星系円盤を持つHerbig Ae型星4天体に対して高解像度撮像観測を行った。このうち1天体については、円盤の強い非軸対称性と腕構造を新たに検出した。また、アメリカの研究者の協力を得て、小中口径望遠鏡を用いての、ほぼ同時観測を行った。さらに、ISAS 1.3m望遠鏡を用いた連携観測も行った。
ISAS 1.3 m望遠鏡を用いたモニタ観測に関しては、昨年度までは可視光データのみの取得を行っていたが、今年度は独自に開発した可視・近赤外線同時撮像カメラを用いて、近赤外線での観測を開始した。観測対象は、原始惑星系円盤を持つTタウリ型星8天体とHerbig Ae型星3天体であり、可視（V, R, Iバンド）、近赤外（J, H, Ksバンド）の合計6バンドで測光モニタ観測を行った。平成25年10月～26年2月の合計68夜のうち、悪天候の15夜を除く53夜でデータを取得した。期間中、カメラ冷却系の改善を行い、装置設計時の目標をわずかに上回る感度が達成されている（10分間の露出で、Ksバンドで10等級の星を測光に足るSN比で検出できる）ことを確認した。観測対象のうち2天体は、すばる望遠鏡による円盤散乱光の高解像度撮像を行った天体であり、この撮像と測光モニタとの比較は variable illumination仮説の検証に有用である。他3天体についても、分光等の異なる観測手法で同時期に得られたデータと組み合わせて議論を行うため、別グループとの共同研究を開始している。

Reason

すばるを用いた観測や、ISAS望遠鏡用可視・近赤外線カメラの立ち上げは順調に進展している。モニタ観測については、データ量が膨大であるため、観測結果の解釈がやや遅れている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

平成26年度も高解像度撮像、およびモニタ観測は継続するが、これまでのモニタ観測の結果をまとめて論文化する作業を最優先で行う。また、過去のモニタ観測の結果は、他の研究者にとって有用となる可能性がある。そのため、データを公開するためのウェブを整備する。
