Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, the story behind the building of the first opera theater “Teatro San Cassiano” in Venice in 1637 and changes the theater experienced thereafter were analyzed based on social and cultural factors at the time. As a result, it has been learned that the opening of the first theater had deep relations with a play staged the previous year in Padua, and there were governmental interventions in the background of the development and changes of theaters in Venice in the 17th century.
