Research Abstract	本研究では,光触媒として研究が遅れている不対電子を含む金属酸化物,特にFe(III)複合酸化物に注目し,電子遷移の制御による新しい光触媒の開発を目指した。種々の酸化物についてバンド構造と光触媒活性を幅広く調査した。この結果,光触媒活性のあるFe(III)複合酸化物を多く見出し,その活性も酸化物依存性が見られた。また,助触媒担持量と活性の関係と活性の波長依存性が従来の酸化チタンとは大きく異なることを見出した。
