Research Abstract |
Transcriptome analysis identified several type III effector candidate genes including nopP in Bradyrhizobium elkanii. The type III secretion system of B. elkanii induced 29 soybean genes including symbiosis genes ENOD40 and NIN, while 36 genes including defense-related genes such as Chalcone synthase were down-regulated, indicating the dual function of the rhizobial type III secretion system in the interaction with host legumes.
