Research Abstract |
To identify HSF1 activation mechanisms, we screened HSF1 binding protein and we identified that ATF1 (activating transcription factor 1) functioned important role during heat shock. In MEF (mouse embryonic fibroblasts), ATF1 and CREM is required for heat-inducible HSP70 expression during heat shock and attenuation of HSF1 activity in recovery after heat shock. Then ATF1 is recruited to HSP70 promoter region during heat shock depend on HSF1 and ATF1 is necessary to recruit BRG1 and p300/CBP.
