Research Abstract |
The objective of this study was to ascertain the differences about content of case presentation and evaluation from learner, which is the ability of thinking "differential diagnoses" and active learning, between SNAPPS or One-minute precepter when these are used to teach Japanese residents about case presentation. In the result of this study, there was no difference in the number of words related to "differential diagnoses""learning issues" that were elicited from residents presented and discussed the case by either SNAPPS or One-minute precepter. Participants in the SNAPPS group used a significantly greater number of words related to "question and uncertainties" compared with those in the One-minute precepter group, and the evaluations by the self-evaluation sheets is high in terms of "It was easy to bring up learning issues". So teaching by SNAPPS might be able to encourage learning more actively.
