Outline of Final Research Achievements |
One of the big limitations of toxic chemotherapy is severe adverse events. Therefore, targeting therapy for solid cancer is required. Because annexin A1 (AnxA1) is identified as a highly specific tumor vasculature surface marker, we identified AnxA1 binding peptide that could target anticancer drugs to tumor vasculature. We conjugated AnxA1 binding peptide with anticancer agents, and treated cancer bearing mice. We observed antitumor effects; however dosage adjustment seems to be needed to obtain efficient anticancer effect.
