Research Abstract

Experimental system for performing vestibular implantation for a guinea pig was constructed. Technique for placing a multi-channel electrode was also established.
We succeeded to induce the eye movements by stimulating the vestibular ganglion, however, we still cannot stimulate the each vestibular organ accurately. We are planning to reserve the vestibular ganglion cells by the vestibular stimulation in addition to develop the vestibular implantation.
