Research Abstract

Disruption of vagal enteric neural crest cells(NCC) migration appears to induce sacral NCC activation in the anorectum, which could have implications for the etiology of the thick nerve fibers seen in Hirschsprung disease(HD) anorectum, which could in fact be a secondary phenomenon.
To establish new treatment for HD, we examined the effect of laminin-1 in NCC migration using SOX10-Venus mice gut. Our results suggest that laminin promotes NCC migration in mice.
