In east African pastoral societies, external actors on local conflicts tend to attach a high value to ‘regeneration of traditional ceremony’ which is not necessarily given importance in local society. External actors need to consider how to activate and appropriate ordinary trans-ethnic individual networks of pastoralpeoples which have taken roles to restore peaceful relations for long years
