Research Abstract |
This project investigates musical criticism between 1910-1929 in order to clarify how musial periodicals described “avant-garde music” and what they evaluated in the context of the “Evolution of French Music” at that time.At that time, critics desired to demonstrate the supremacy of France in the history of western music. To achieve that goal, they attracted attention to “avant-garde music”, sought the innovation of langage musical in Paris, and intended to authorize the evolution of French music.
