Research Abstract |
The aim of this study was to clarify how the bringing up talented people by means of school education influenced modernization in non-Western later starters. Especially, a comparative analysis of the attitudes toward modern knowledge and of some aspects in the early stage of higher education institutionalization between Japan and China was performed. Our present study of the relation between education and modernization indicated to be able to hypothetically show the possibility of bringing out a grand theoretical proposition about social development in non-Western areas.
