| Summary of the Research Project |
次世代に情報を伝える生殖細胞である雄の精子形成において生産性と正確性を両立させる際に、精子幹細胞の中で最も未分化な細胞画分の細胞周期が他の細胞に比べて長くなる機構の解明を目指している。この長い細胞周期が精細管周期と同期している点に着目し、精細管において周期的に発現変動するGDNFの関与する実態を相関解析、in vitroおよびin vivoにおける摂動実験に加え数理解析により統合的に明らかにする計画である。

| Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements |
本研究で取り組む目的は明確である。また、精細管周期と精子幹細胞の細胞周期の同調機構を解明するために練られた精緻な実験計画は高く評価できる。一般には困難なライブイメージングや分泌因子の量の摂動、更に工学的な手法を用いた解析や数理解析を展開する点などにおいて挑戦的である。
