Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ソフトイオン化質量分析に基づいて大気エアロゾル試料に含まれる有機物の分子量分布を解析する手法について検討を開始した。具体的には、有機化合物の試薬と大気エアロゾル試料を用いて以下の予備的検討を行った。ポリエチレングリコール（average Mn 300, 400）の水溶液をシリンジに取り、シリンジポンプを用いてエレクトロスプレーイオン化質量分析計（ESI-MS）に水溶液を直接導入して質量スペクトルを取得した。そして、得られたスペクトルの信号から水溶液中のポリエチレングリコールの平均分子量を推定した。また、単一の有機化合物（レボグルコサン、フタル酸、コハク酸ほかの試薬）の水溶液や、複数の有機化合物（コハク酸、グルタル酸ほかを含む）の混合水溶液をESI-MSに導入して質量スペクトルを取得し、スペクトルのピークに対応するイオンを推定した。そのほか、名古屋大学で採取された大気エアロゾル試料に含まれる水溶性成分の抽出物、また同抽出物とコハク酸等の有機化合物試薬を混合した水溶液試料に対して、ESI-MSへの直接導入による質量スペクトルの測定を試行した。この水溶性成分の抽出物に対して、溶媒をメタノールに置換した試料に対するESI-MS測定も行い、水・メタノールのそれぞれを溶媒とする試料に対して平均分子量の推定を行った。
そのほか、大気エアロゾル試料から抽出したフミン様物質、硫酸アンモニウム、さらにそれらの混合物からなる微粒子の吸湿成長に関する論文の作成などにも取り組んだ。

吸湿性など未実施の測定項目がある。また、有機成分の電離に関する解析において、実験手法の検討が必要である可能性がある。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

計画している測定項目の中には、関連プロジェクトで得たエアロゾル試料のデータを本研究で用いるデータとして利用可能なものがあると考えられ、これらの既往データと当該試料に対する新規測定を組み合わせることで、効率的な研究推進を目指す。電離に関する解析については、有機エアロゾルの化学構造に関する既往のデータに基づき、有効な測定方法・実験条件について検討する。
