| Summary of the Research Project |
組換えアデノウイルス（Ad）は、癌細胞だけで選択的に複製し癌細胞を死滅させる腫瘍溶解性ウイルス（ウイルス療法）と、新興・再興感染症に対するワクチンベクターの両者での応用が期待されている。本研究では、応募者が有する世界最先端のAd改変技術を駆使し、既存抗体からの回避な新規Ad製剤の開発に関する基盤研究を行う。

| Scientific Significance and Expected Research Achievements |
遺伝子治療への応用を見据えて遺伝子破壊だけでなく、遺伝子置換／ノックイン、mRNAのノックダウンが可能なゲノム編集用Adベクターの開発を実施し、我が国独自の国産ウイルス製剤、および基盤技術の確立が期待できる。
