これまでの研究成果を、研究書の章や海外で出版する論文として発表することに力を入れた。具体的には、研究書『日常のかたち--美学・建築・文学・食』の「ピアノのお稽古とその影響力--作家になったアメリカの少女たち--」という章を担当し、Kate Chopin, Willa Cather, Carson McCullersの文学に、彼女たちが子供時代に経験したピアノのお稽古がどんな音楽的影響を与えたかという点について分析した。特に、McCullersの場合は、本研究課題で焦点となる対位法と弦楽四重奏との関係が深い。
また、ドイツの学術誌＿Aldous Huxley Annual: A Journal of Twentieth-Century Thought and Beyond_に論文“Aldous Huxley’s _Point Counter Point_ as a Catalyst for the Exploration of Musico-Literary String Quartets during the Modernist Period”を送って査読に合格し、2024年11月の出版が確定している。この論文では、Huxleyと直接接点のあったVirginia Woolf, T. S. Eliot, Thomas Mannの代表作における音楽的要素の分析に、Huxleyの小説_Point Counter Point_が効果的な触媒の働きをすると論じている。
さらに、アメリカでBloomsburyから出版される研究書_American Modernism (Re-)Considered_には、論文“‘The Still Point of the Turning World’ in T. S. Eliot’s _Four Quartets_ as a Mysterious Center of Modernist Literature Related to the Image of the String Quartet"が載ることに決まっている。

Reason
収集した資料の精読と分析、論文執筆と出版が、ほぼ予定通り順調に進んでいる。特に、2022年に、Mannの小説_Doctor Faustus_は弦楽四重奏を古代から20世紀前半にかけての濃密かつダイナミックな宇宙観の象徴としていると発表し、これが本研究課題で注目するモダニズム文学の中で活躍する弦楽四重奏という議論の大きな土台となるため、分析が効果的に展開している。
実際、2023年には「ピアノのお稽古とその影響力--作家になったアメリカの少女たち--」でMcCullersと弦楽四重奏との関係を指摘した一方、2024年以降に出版が確定している“Aldous Huxley’s _Point Counter Point_ as a Catalyst for the Exploration of Musico-Literary String Quartets during the Modernist Period”と“‘The Still Point of the Turning World’ in T. S. Eliot’s _Four Quartets_ as a Mysterious Center of Modernist Literature Related to the Image of the String Quartet"では、Mann, Huxley, Eliot, Woolf, Vladimir Nabokov, McCullersらを、モダニズム文学作品における弦楽四重奏の活躍という視点から比較分析している。
また、これらの研究成果は、大学・大学院での担当授業にも取り入れながら、公開に努めている。

2024年度以降の出版が決まっている“Aldous Huxley’s _Point Counter Point_ as a Catalyst for the Exploration of Musico-Literary String Quartets during the Modernist Period”と“‘The Still Point of the Turning World’ in T. S. Eliot’s _Four Quartets_ as a Mysterious Center of Modernist Literature Related to the Image of the String Quartet"の最終稿の仕上げに力を入れる。
これまで複数の論文や章で論じてきたHuxley, Eliot, McCullers, Mann, Nabokovについて整理してまとめつつ、Woolfの他、国外での経験が大きく作品に反映されるJean Rhys, Lawrence Durrell, Doris Lessingといったイギリス人作家の作品分析にも力を入れていく。特に、次の論文（あるいは研究書の章）では、Rhysの文学と弦楽四重奏的宇宙観との関係を論じる予定である。
また、最終的には本研究課題として分析を進め発表してきた各論文や章を統合して1冊の研究書として出版する予定であるため、その全体像を考え始める。

| Causes of Carryover |
家庭の事情で例年実施してきた海外での資料収集や学会発表が不可能となってしまったため、旅費として使う予定だった額が次年度使用額となった。
今後の海外出張を計画しつつ、同時に、海外で出版されている研究書や各種資料をインターネット上で購入したり取り寄せたりする際の費用に使うなど、工夫をしていく予定である。
