Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The overall concept of this research is to develop novel π-conjugated molecules as an electron acceptor material compatible with P3HT-based donor for the large area air-stable organic solar cell. Till now, fluorinated naphthothiadiazole-based electron deficient new molecules with noncovalent conformational locks between S…N or N…F of the linker part has been already successfully synthesized. Different linker with are used for precisely adjust the molecular LUMO level, electron transfer ability in the mixed thin film, and miscibility with P3HT-based donor. Physical properties measurement such as absorption spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry measurements are going on to check their compatibility with P3HT to be utilized as an nonfullerene acceptor for the OPV devices in ambient condition.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.
Reason
The development of new pi-conjugated molecule as electron acceptor that are compatible to the low-cost and bulk-available donor, P3HT- based organic solar cell is progressing smoothly.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
We are panning to continue developing new pi-conjugated molecule as nonfullerene acceptor with distinctive molecular structures and investigate the mechanism by which the solar cell devices operate.
|
Causes of Carryover |
This year I will publish scientific journal for which I need the (B-A) 220,536円 money. I will also visit and present my research so that I need additional money. Additionally for ,making the solar cell device ITO will be purchased which will cost a lot so I need the extra money.
