Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This project aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of the new gestational weight gain guidelines and growth charts by estimating the percentage of women who achieved the new recommended GWG range between 2020 and 2023. The research plan was to collect data from a healthcare application, LunaLuna Baby (ルナルナベビーMTI Ltd.) for its large number of users in the general population, and from two hospitals, the NCCHD in Tokyo and the Kyushu University in Fukuoka, to ensure all body mass index categories are covered. The first year, the applicant received data from LunaLuna Baby application where about 7,500,000 daily weight records of about 83,400 children for 82,500 mothers were received.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
Collecting data from hospitals is taking more time than expected. Nevertheless, we make progress with data from LunaLuna Baby application. Data are been cleaned and primarily analysis are on-going.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Finalyze analyses with the Lunaluna app and write up a manuscript. We hope also to collect data from hospital sources in the following months.
|
Causes of Carryover |
Funding will be used to collect data in hospitals, participate to conference, and disseminate results in journals.
