| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In a year of 2023, we had multiple in-person and Zoom meetings to discuss the primary study idea, raw data format, and specific research roles associated with this project. In the first in-person meeting, primary investigator (Dai Sugimoto, PhD) visited a hospital where co-investigator belongs to. Also, the study data were captured in the hospital so that primary investigator (Dai Sugimoto, PhD) could take a look how the data were stored. Additionally, primary investigator (Dai Sugimoto, PhD) was able to check the research environment. After that, primary investigator (Dai Sugimoto, PhD) and co-investigator took approximately 2 hours for a meeting. The meeting went well, and we had a clear understanding of tasks and visions related to the current study. Following the first in-person meeting, co-investigator who has access to raw data came up a few issues/challenges in organizing the raw data during our Zoom meeting. The specific issues and challenges consisted of two folds: 1) a lack of time and 2) a lack of qualified worker/assistant(s) who can perform this task. We had another Zoom meeting to discuss this issues/challenges. Later, the co-investigator found a several qualified workers/assistants to be able to interpret, enter, and organize the study data. While they (the qualified workers/assistants) were engaging the assigned tasks, the co-investigator took a role of supervising, making sure that the data were entered accurately.
