Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
One of the highlights of the year was my engagement with conferences, which served as a platform for presenting my latest findings and gaining insights from colleagues across disciplines. By attending these events, I broadened my understanding of current trends and methodologies, which influenced my research approach.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
My research will continue smoothly as I plan to expand data collection with consumers and begin fieldwork with whale hunting stakeholders in Wakayama. Engaging with consumers is vital to understanding their attitudes and behaviors toward marine conservation. Through surveys and interviews, I aim to delve deeper into consumer motivations and preferences, especially concerning sustainable seafood consumption and awareness of marine conservation issues.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Looking ahead, the future plans for my research on the politicization of consumption involve a multifaceted approach that prioritizes comprehensive data collection and meaningful scholarly engagement. I aim to delve deeper into the nuances of consumption behaviors and attitudes through interviews and ethnographic research.
