Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本課題は、ナノマテリアルのランダムネットワーク中で、入力信号を化学ダイナミクスにより変調させた場合に、なぜ低消費電力人工知能(AI)演算素子である「マテリアルリザバー」デバイスとして機能するのかを解明を目指すものである。昨年度はまず最初に行った研究内容が、リザバー材料の探索およびリザバーデバイスの確立であった。リザバー材料として様々な材料系を試行したところ、Ag2Sアイランドとナノ粒子、Ag2Seナノワイヤー、カーボンナノチューブ3次元ネットワークなどを試行した場合に、そのランダムネットワークが精度の高いリザバーとして動作することを確認した。今年度は光応答分子α-Fe2O3/Bi25TiO39複合体や硫化ビスマスなどを合成し、リザバー素子作製と評価を行うことによりリザバー演算素子性能向上の指針を得た。

Reason

結晶構造解析の結果からα-Fe2O3/Bi25TiO39複合体及びチューブ状、フラワー状Bi2S3が合成されていることが確認された。マテリアルリザバー演算演算素子への応用が可能であることが明らかとなった。波形生成学習ではα-Fe2O3/Bi25TiO39複合体及びBi2S3どちらも80%を超える高い演算精度を示し、マテリアルリザバー演算素子としての有用性を示した。またチューブ状Bi2S3とフラワー状Bi2S3の試料を用いて短期記憶タスクSTM及びどの程度過去データを記憶しているかを調べるNARMAタスクを行ったところ、フラワー状Bi2S3がより大きいSTM短期記憶容量を示し、NAMRA3の予測精度は68%であったを示した。以上より、新たな物質によりリザバー精度向上の指針を得たとともに、次年度以降の指針となった。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

今年度はさらにN混乱ポルフィリンなど強い非線形を有する物質とSWNT複合体ランダムネットワーク構造を作製する。それを3次元ネットワークスポンジ構造を作製し、ロボットハンドに触感センサとして搭載し、その挙動をリザバーで分類タスクを行わせる
