Outline of Annual Research Achievements

実効系機能を、局所回路および領域間回路の２方面から調べるため、それぞれについて実験を行い、以下のような成果を得た。
局所神経回路の解析：遅延反応課題を遂行中するように訓練したラットにおいて、前頭葉の中で直早期遺伝子（c-fos）を発現する細胞を同定し、レーザーダイセクションによってこれを切り出して、網羅的な遺伝子発現解析を行う一連の手技を確立した。
領域間神経回路の解析：ラット・サルに共通の遅延反応課題を訓練し、大脳皮質表面電位（ECoG）を記録するための予備実験を重ねて、電極配置の最適化、電極インプラント術式の最適化、解析プログラムの開発などを行うとともに、ECoG データの取得を開始した。

局所回路および領域間回路の解析のいずれにおいても、技術の確立に予想以上の時間がかかったが、概ね順調に進展しているといえる。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

技術的な問題はすべて解決したので、今後は実験をかさねてデータの収集のペースを加速させる予定。
