共役多孔性高分子による特異分子空間の創出と機能開拓

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度では、共役多孔性高分子の骨格および細孔を設計して作り、『エネルギー貯蔵空間』を構築し、新しい蓄電システムの開拓を検討した。具体的には、共役多孔性高分子を用いて、共役骨格と多孔構造を精密に制御し、高電流密度での充放電を可能とする骨格構造を合成した。さらに、ポアサイズを制御することで、電気二重層の形成・解離過程の高速化を実現し、高電流密度下での充放電を可能とした。これらの構造を制御することで、高いエネルギー密度及び出力密度を同時に達成できるシステムの構築に成功した。この成果は共役多孔性高分子いう新しい材料で確信的なエネルギー貯蔵システムの構築が可能であることを実証した。
さらに、三次元高分子骨格に有機触媒ユニットを組み込み、多孔性を保ったまま新しい『有機触媒反応空間』を合成し、高効率、高選択性、水中で触媒として機能することを見出した。具体的に、有機触媒ユニットを有するモノマーを合成し、重合反応により有機触媒ユニットからなる種々の多孔性高分子を合成した。特に、有機触媒サイトの密度をコントロールすることで有機触媒の空間を制御して作ることに成功した。詳しい検討から、不斉反応を効率的に触媒し、水中でも高いee収率で機能する優れた有機触媒であることを見出した。多孔性有機触媒は不溶で、濾過するだけで反応溶液から簡単に分離することができた。そのため、多孔性高分子触媒は、何度も触媒として利用することができ、再利用が可能な多孔性有機触媒であることを見出だした。本研究を通じて、高価な有機触媒の再利用という難題に新しいアプローチを提供するものであり、触媒の応用の観点からも極めて意義の大きな成果が得られた。
