Outline of Final Research Achievements

In order to enhance the capacity of optical fiber communications, this research project explores the technologies for optical single sideband (SSB) modulation, which requires Hilbert transformations for phase-shift method. This research includes the following three studies; (1) A study on inverse Hilbert transformation for optical SSB receivers and all-optical sideband recovery method, (2) A study on improve method about peak-to-average power ratio of optical SSB modulation, (3) A study on the influence of wavelength saving scheme on network node scale in in optical waveband switching networks.
