Outline of Final Research Achievements

In imaging mass spectrometry, we can obtain lazar captured mass spectrometry data from cancer tissues or normal cells using a microscope. These data generate imaging data in which each spot has a spectrum with many peaks for small molecules. We have developed statistical algorithm and software which can detect important similar peaks including of a cancer site, for example.
