Research Abstract

Project members have continued undertaking field work, they have analysed their field findings and progressively presented those at academic meetings, and in various publications, including and important number of academic papers.
Some relevant findings are that International Environmental Regimes are mostly well adopted into national environmental policies but that those inadequately consider local realities. These leads to no-compliance and constraints the possibility for adequate resource policies, administration and management. Several of the studies undertaken under this project demonstrate this and are suggesting options to address these shortcomings.

Current Status of Research Progress

Progressing as planned.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

The research group will hold a meeting early FY 26 to plan for the next fiscal year. Since this will be the last year of the project, activities will focus on finalizing field activities, and presenting research findings at international forums and in publications. Some of the publications are likely to appear only after the project will finish by the end of FY26.
