Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aims to make clear to what extent Hindi and Urdu languages differ from each other from the etymological viewpoint of the vocabulary the respective languages contain. The output of the investigation shows that both languages do not differ in most frequent words, consisting of modern Indo-Aryan words and a few Persian loanwords, occupying more than 80 percent of total running words, contrary to anticipation.
