Outline of Final Research Achievements

We conducted research and development for the Business Japanese Computerized Adaptive Test, an online exam for Japanese learners. The test measures a test-taker’s ability to communicate in a business setting. First, we developed question items which attempt to assess one’s ability to find and solve problems and to pursue tasks. Second, we conducted pre-tests based on Item Response Theory. Later, the data from these pre-tests will be analyzed and used further develop the Business Japanese Computerized Adaptive Test.
