| Research Abstract |
常磁性金属内包フラーレン誘導体のナノロッドおよび薄膜の作成を試み、幾つかの常磁性金属内包フラーレン誘導体においてナノサイズの針状結晶 (ナノロッド) を得ることに成功した。ナノロッドのHRTEM観察により常磁性金属内包フラーレン誘導体が非常に規則正しく配列していることを明らかにした。無置換の常磁性金属内包フラーレンでは同条件で結晶化を行ってもナノロッドは得られなかった。置換基導入がフラーレンの規則正しい組織化に有効であることを明らかにした。種々の常磁性金属内包フラーレン誘導体のナノロッドおよび自己組織化を利用した薄膜を得ることにも成功した。

Reason
常磁性内包フラーレンおよびその誘導体の合成にほぼ成功し、1) 炭素ケ ージ上にスピンを有する内包フラーレン、2) 内包原子上にスピンを有する内包フラーレン、3) ケージと内包原子の両方 にスピンを有する内包フラーレンが得られた。

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
単結晶Ｘ線構造解析の専門家を参画させ、常磁性内包フラーレンおよびその誘導体の単結晶の構造解析を行っていく。得られる知見は、常磁性内包フラーレンおよびその誘導体の磁気的、電気的特性の解明に役立つであろう。

研究遂行上、次年度に博士研究員を雇用し、研究を円滑に行うため、次年度に雇用費として予算を繰り越した。
