Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Creating environmentally-friendly chemical processes is nowadays a much attractive issue of ‘Sustainable Chemistry’. Our Laboratory conducts basic research of developing high efficient construction processes for various carbon skeletons. This includes developing novel synthetic methodologies based on a combination of carbon-carbon bond cleavage and formation reactions. In this research, we found novel carbon-carbon bond cleavage reactions of Cp ligand on titanium. Furthermore, by use Cp ligand as building blocks, via a combination of carbon-carbon bond cleavage and formation reactions, a variety of molecular transformations were realized successfully.
