Outline of Final Research Achievements

Radiolabeled liposomes are promising radiopharmaceuticals for tumor imaging and radionuclide therapy because of their capacity to accumulate in the tumors. However, conventional liposomes also accumulate non-specifically in the liver, even though they are PEGylated. In this study, we generated a novel liposome encapsulating In-111-ethylenedicysteine (EC) that demonstrated rapid hepatic clearance.
