Outline of Final Research Achievements

In order to evaluate effects of thinning on water and carbon cycle, hydro-meteorological observation have been conducted in a Teak plantation in northern Thailand (18°25′N, 99°43′ E). Study Site is situated in a nearly flat and even aged teak plantation with a mostly homogeneous canopy structure. Thinning operation was carried out in March 2013 and March 2014.
Comparative observation of soil temperature, soil respiration, canopy interception between thinning plot and control plot and before and after thinning were conducted together with micrometeorological observation.
