Due to the Land Ownership Act executed in 2003, the concept of Settlement in urban areas, recognition of ownership to “individual”, have been brought to the culture of Mongolia. Under such circumstances, the residents who have settled in urban areas tend to choose Sumo wrestlers as profession. Furthermore, high price of the game brought excessive competition among wrestlers. In addition, after Naadam Law was established in 2003, Sumo rules changes dramatically. From these backgrounds, Sumo wrestlers in Mongolia has changed the manner of Sumo training. In former times, they used to take Sumo wrestling with their original ability without any training. But nowadays, they take Sumo with daily muscle training.
