Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Objective: To improve the efficiency of dietary surveys, we reviewed the elements which have an affect on their reliability. Methods: We evaluated the process phase of 12-day dietary record surveys (3 non-consecutive days in each of the 4 seasons). Results: We have developed some accompanying PC tools (standardization coding manuals, e-learning system, mailing list, food coding errors search database, inquiry system for coding difficult cases, a structured feedback questionnaire for site staff). In conclusion, we were able to develop the tacit knowledge about dietary assessment that well-trained dietitians have, as several PC tools.
